I noticed that frame 32476 in episode 2 has the staff text corrupted (half-transparent). Just out of curious, are you using the NCOP and ED to protect the staff text from anti-aliasing?
Also, the OP of episode 2 is 2 more frames longer than the original. (maybe this is why the ED has 1-2 frame(s) error) Please correct this too, since this is not friendly to subtitle sync.
I would strongly suggest you check all the episodes in case there are more similar issues.
Thank you for your rips.
Shit happens, dude. Thx for the report tho.
> Just out of curious, are you using the NCOP and ED to protect the staff text from anti-aliasing?
Yes.
>maybe this is why the ED has 1-2 frame(s) error
Yes, you are absolutly right. In episode 2, this scene is different from nced. https://ibb.co/g3VWdT Therefore in this scene masks were used, , which were affected by a 2-frame shift.
Fix ep 2. Download a new torrent.
I did suggest you check all the episodes, but it seems that you just fixed episode 2’s staff corruption.
NCOP and NCED both have 1~3 more frame(s) in the end than the ones in each episode. Here is a list of frame differences in your rip.
Ep 1: +0 frames for OP, +0 frames for ED.
Ep 2_rev: +2 frames for OP, +2 frames for ED.
Ep 3: +1 frame for OP, +2 frames for ED.
Ep 4: +1 frame for OP, +2 frames for ED.
Ep 5: +2 frames for OP, +2 frames for ED.
Ep 6: +2 frames for OP, +2 frames for ED.
Ep 7: +3 frames for OP, +2 frames for ED.
Ep 8: +3 frames for OP, +2 frames for ED.
Ep 9: +2 frames for OP, +2 frames for ED.
Please fix this issue to get rid of audio/subtitle’s out-of-sync.
Note that I did not check every OP/ED for staff corruption issues. I suggest checking them yourself.
Comparison is based on ReinForce’s rip. I assume they ripped it non-filter.
Thank you.
By the way, do you mind if I re-encode your rips for my release and list [Beatrice-Raws] in the staff/thanks?
I think you created some misunderstanding there. We treated your message as “check new releases for consistency, but not that one”. So you should point any errors found in the videos, that will make our communication is more productive. I hope you don’t mad from inconvenience that we made. Thanks for your feedback anyway.
Okay that’s just a small communication mistake. Not a big deal. I’m not that easy to get mad. xD
I meant “episodes 1 and 3-9” by “all the episodes”, and “both staff corruption & extra frame” by “similar issues”. I was assuming you would not get into same issues in future episodes : )
The “2 frames longer” is also an issue, I mean, not just the cause of the staff corruption.
Thank you for your rips. Looking forward to your answer to the “by the way” question.
Another question: any chance if xdelta3 would work for a small-size patch?
>Looking forward to your answer to the “by the way” question.
Yes, you can. And why not use the original encode?
Because HEVC is getting more popular gradually in Chinese community, both WebRip and BDRip, thanks to VCB-S, who has shared quite a few encode settings etc. Also HEVC Ma10P (Main10 Profile) is getting more support than Hi10P, say, hardware acceleration.
You can give it a try, too : )

@stevenlele First of all, I hope you realize that re-encoding from jensen’s (already-excellent) encode to an inferior format like HEVC is a massive loss in quality?
Secondly, if there are frame adjustments in the ED that are necessary for just subtitle syncing, it is FAR easier to open the subtitles in Aegisub and make the precise modifications to the required lines than it would be to have jensen start over with the project and encode everything again–the latter is a pretty unreasonable request, if I read your posts correctly..
You’re right, but thanks to his error messages, we found problems in one plugin and made the appropriate changes.
Thank you for your advice on re-encoding. I’m now considering re-encoding a hardsub version instead.
Regarding the syncing, on the one hand, subtitles should be synced for all BD rips, since they’re all from the same source. Would you be willing to sync all 12 (or more) subtitles if you want to watch another rip? For example, using subtitles from other rips on this Beatrice-Raws rip. Let alone you don’t know where the frames are different. On the other hand, the audio is (a tiny bit) desynced. Could you tell me how to easily identify where the desync happen and add X-video-frame-length silence samples into the FLAC audio?
Also, they do not need to start over. In the easiest way, they just need to trim the extra frames out and encode again. Merely encoding does not cost human effort. In this case, they fixed the issue permanently, and avoided further errors. They are not designing the p.p. and encode settings from zero.
Why should they do anything? The already provided the anime, do it yourself.
My advice is to just wait for Kametsu releases with the synced subs and Beatrice-Raws encodes. That seems the easiest way. If not Kametsu, someone else will surely make a Beatrice-Raws + best subs + Dual-audio mux. Just search on nyaa in a few months and you’ll see. For example I have waited for Fate Apocrypha from Kametsu but they never did it because they had some emotional problems at the time and skipped it afaik. So I just waited a couple months and found https://nyaa.si/view/1031905
and
https://nyaa.si/view/1031542
So you see. Beatrice-Raws is very popular. So if not Kametsu, someone will always come along with a Beatrice mux and select the best available subtitles.
I understand you are eager about re-encoding… but why not just create your own encode from the bdmv? *Personally*, I find it insulting towards Jensen (and others’) hard work to re-encode all their effort into some *seriously sub par* stuff. But that’s just *my* opinion. Many people don’t realise that Beatrice-Raws are not “merely encoding” (wtf dude!?) – they do all kinds of awesome stuff to the encodes so that in the end Beatrice-Raws encodes look better than the bdmv itself.
I have a feeling that many people download Beatrice encodes to re-encode them into something atrocious. Blasphemy beyond compare.
I should say that, I download Beatrice encodes *FOR WATCHING* – not modifying or anything else. I plainly use good enough subs along with fonts and *load them externally*. And wait for Kametsu. I should also say that I never deleted anything I downloaded from Beatrice because I only did download my most favorite anime.
So like I said… I kinda don’t get it, why complicate things when you got other people who already did all the work so that we don’t have to?
Besides, HEVC for hardware acceleration is really unnecessaryin todays time. Any decent CPU (like a Q6600) can decode AVC/H264 Hi10p even at 60 fps 1920×1080, and anime is at 24 fps. Why even the need to use GPU acceleration for 1080p 24fps ?, when in order to properly decode HEVC one needs at least a *halfway-latest* and good GPU.
So with that logic: Hey! Lets lose detail and encode everything to HEVC! Pay ~250$ for a new graphic card to use hardware acceleration for it, in order so that we don’t have to…?!…what exactly? Oh that’s right! So that we don’t have to play 1080p 24 fps anime on any 10 year old quad core. That would certainly save *a few* bucks form electricity, that we can rather spend on smoke. Nice. x)
Apart from that, seriously, saying there in “no human effort in encoding” is totally an insult to Beatrice-Raws. Do you have any idea how much blood, sweat and painstaking work and knowledge, DJATOM and Jensen put into releases. They spend *their* free time, *their* patience, *their* knowledge, *their* website, so that *we* can have anime *FOR FREE*. If you don’t like it, have complaints, or any absurd ideas, *BUY* the anime yourself and encode it yourself if you think it’s so easy.
That’s *my* opinion and I love Beatrice-Raws. Thank you for giving me all these wonderful anime for free, in amazing quality. I respect you guys.
Nothing wrong with HEVC itself if it properly configured. And indeed some sources may benefit from HEVC, when some other will be waste of space and resources. And thank you for warm words :)
Thank you super much for this anime. I loved it so much.
I just came to say thanks BR, and I’m seeding for the good of any who wants to watch this anime!! <3
Where can I get english subs for this please? #newbie
Go to animetosho.org, search for “Citrus”, pick a release you like and download only subtitles from its detail page.
my download is now status as inactive, can anyone seed this file for few hours. i’m now at almost 90% finish download maybe need few more hours if the down speed can maintain at 1mb/s or higher.
Finish downloaded, thanks to those who seeded this
