Does audio ch 5.1 really make watching so immersive? Is it worth that much compared to normal stereo ch? Im thinking to get 5.1 setup if it does very immersive that good . What do you guys think?

I’m poor enough to be tied with 2.0 setup. So 5.1 is not worth downloading for me.

        not so familiar with audio.

2.0 is stereo. while 5.1 is surround… as far as i know 5.1 provide better soundlike in theatre

which is better in terms of audio quality?

I own both the 2.0 and 5.1 and believe me….2.0 provides best audio quality output because all the songs are made in stereo.

I only use 5.1 for movies but it does pretty bad with lossless songs….The song actually splits in the 5 speakers and I did not like it at all. Songs actually sound better in 2.0 but nothing beats the 5.1 in watching movies.

2.0 and 2.1 Channel Stereo Systems

Your basic stereo system (2.0) consists of two channels of sound – left and right – produced by a pair of stereo speakers. A 2.1 channel system is achieved as soon as you incorporate a separate subwoofer (the .1 part of surround sound) along with the stereo speakers. The benefits of choosing a 2.0 or 2.1 channel system is affordable simplicity. You can enjoy excellent audio for music, movies, and TV without the clutter of additional speakers and the wires that tend to come with. But if a truer surround sound experience is what you’re after, you’ll want more than just one pair of speakers.

      5.1 Channel Home Theater Systems

Home theater receivers are distinguished from two-channel (stereo receivers) by having additional amplifier channels to support movie theater sound (e.g. Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1) or multi-channel music (e.g. DVD-Audio, SACD discs).

Your basic home theater system offers 5.1 channels of sound through five separate speakers and one subwoofer. Like a two-channel system, the left and right speakers create that sense of direction and play most of the on-screen action. The center speaker is typically reserved for movie dialog, music vocals, and supporting sounds. The left and right surround/rear channels help to give that immersive dimension of space by playing off-screen surround sound and special effects. The subwoofer channel (also known as Low-Frequency Effects, or LFE) adds very low bass for music sources and special effects on sound tracks. Together, all of the channels produce a “soundfield” that envelops the listener with sound coming from the front and behind.

hey, this is the first time I’ve downloaded a release from Beatrice-raws and I have a question about the BD menu. Am I supposed to be able to play this as if there was a menu to navigate through because it only shows a video O_O
