       Just for your future edification, x264 is the open source encoder software primarily used to encode H.264 videos (where H.264 is a “standard”). Also referred to as AVC (“Advanced Video Codec”).

       x265 is the open source corollary for H.265 videos. Also known as HEVC (“High Efficiency Video Codec”).

       You’re not wrong, but you are being a pedant about it by saying “It’s HEVC”. Yeah, technically it is. But lots of people refer to videos by their encoder software rather than standard adherence (just look at how many torrents are tagged x265/x264 instead of AVC/HEVC or H.264/H.265).

       In colloquial speech, x265 == H.265 == HEVC.
