Only the 3rd season would be enough, I mean there’s no need for re-doing the 1st two seasons from scratch.
Since there are about100 hevc encodes based on them, while the 3rd one haven’t recieved a good one yet.
How long we have to look at Embers mediocre encode?

You should give up on TrueHD. It applies dialog normalization so you don’t have a faithful representation of the original PCM. FLAC not only leaves dialnorm alone, it actually compresses better. And has better compatibility. There is no good reason to use TrueHD. It’s not the first time I have to download a second release to swap its FLAC audio with your superior video encode, such a waste!
Isn’t TrueHD a lossless format? With proper decoding you should be able to convert it into FLAC with bit-exact output to Blu-ray’s PCM.
Dialogue normalization can be easily removed (reset) during decoding if needed, as can other built-in “filters,” such as drc.
But all of this is useful and important for simple listening during normal viewing. I won’t worry about whether or not any end user can obtain the original PCM from the thd. Since, I repeat, this release is intended for viewing on tv/pc and etc…
I get your point, Jensen. For me, the “enhancements” TrueHD applies are something I don’t want, they weren’t there in the PCM. I know you already know this and already addressed it in your reply, but I did the test a while back for some of these Oregairu seasons: I downloaded your release, a BDMV (partially) and another release which had FLAC (a Chinese group it was I think). I made my own FLAC for some episode from the BDMV’s PCM, and its MD5 signature (the signature of the PCM the FLAC decodes to, from FLAC’s metadata) was exactly the same as that of the FLAC of the Chinese release. Then when I transcoded your TrueHD to FLAC, it’s MD5 signature was different. Maybe getting the original MD5 signature was possible or easy by decoding it another way, and the difference had to be extremely minimal, I’m sure, but that still triggers my autism and I can’t settle for your TrueHD, I want an audio that simply decodes as the exact same original PCM without tricks involved to be able to achieve that. Anyway thanks for the release, I didn’t even properly thank you, video sure is perfect!
MD5 mismatch is also possible if m2ts file trimmed under different timestamps (audio samples might be out of sync to some extent, even if you can’t notice it on playback). You should check if audio is properly synced between releases or sync and compare certain parts of raw audio data for hashes, that way you will have reliable results.
